Yixing Clay

Yixing clay teapots are made from Yixing clay, a clay, also called purple clay, named after the city of the same name in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu. In China, these teapots, born around the fifteenth century, are still used today to prepare tea according to the traditional method.
