Lin’s Ceramic Studio’s Purion clay mug is from the Zentao tea series made of Purion clay, in the typical Purion colour.
The teacup can be combined with the corresponding teapot to create a pleasant and original tea set.
High-temperature firing gives Purion its simple, unmistakable gravelly, porous appearance.
Rich in minerals and crystals, the clay used for each accessory in Purion undergoes high-temperature oxidation, which gives it the appearance of porphyry, a quality that makes tea brewed in Purion both smooth and rich.
Purion is best suited for infusions of highly fermented and fully fermented teas, such as Iron Goddess, Dianhong, heavily boiled Oolong, aged tea and Puer. This mug is the perfect choice for collectors of limited edition accessories.
Each piece is unique, the quantity is limited.
Purion Clay maintenance
Before use, steep the cup in a bowl of hot water for one hour.
Care: hand wash only with warm water and rub gently without soap (Purion clay is semi-porous and is designed to saturate with the essence of tea). Do not microwave
Use the cup for only one type of tea (such as oolong, red or puer). In fact, purion clay absorbs the smell of the tea and, if you use different types of tea, it may absorb too many flavours and you may not fully enjoy the tasting.
