Anhoi China (Pall. Anhoi, Anhoi, Chinese 安徽; pinyin Ānhuī) is a province in eastern China.

Located in the Great Plain of China, at the bottom of the Yangtze River, Anhui is one of the main Chinese tea provinces. Tea is the main industrial crop here. In terms of harvest, this region ranks third in the country.

This eastern province of China has particularly favorable soil and climatic conditions for the cultivation of broadleaf tea varieties. The area of tea plantations reaches more than 60 thousand hectares.

This leading region for growing elite Chinese tea varieties is the birthplace of the famous yellow tea. Anhui also produces high quality black and green teas for export all over the world. For domestic consumption, they produce high-quality red tea (Hohong brand) and various brands of green tea (Dafan, Qihong, Hukwei and others).

Anhoi is still not as widely known as other tea provinces in China, but we recommend that you definitely get to know its tea varieties.
