As you know, matcha is a Japanese green tea with extraordinary antioxidant properties. It has also become very popular for use in the kitchen, in both sweet and savoury recipes.
Dark chocolate and matcha tea truffles are perfect to serve as sweet finger food and great for all occasions. They are quick and easy to make with just a few ingredients: white chocolate, vanilla, butter and matcha tea.
Ingredients
- 100 ml of fresh, non-whipped cream
- 200g dark chocolate
- 20g butter
- 1 teaspoon of our Matcha Ariake ceremonial grade green tea 100g.

How to prepare matcha tea truffles
Heat the cream and before it comes to the boil, add the chopped dark chocolate and butter.
Stir well until they have melted and if necessary put them back on the heat for a few seconds. Place the mixture in a bowl and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Take the mixture and form small balls. Put them back in the fridge for 2 hours, then dip the truffles in the matcha tea.
Keep the truffles in the fridge until serving time, your guests will be licking their lips!
