What is Purion Clay?
Purion clay is a material created in Taiwan by skilled artisans. Rich in minerals, such as quartz, fired by oxidation reduction at high temperature. It has a granular structure similar to stone, and tea infused in this type of material results smooth and tastes exceptionally sweet and smooth. Our Purion clay accessories are made from all-natural materials. The processing steps from the oxidation process through to reduction and repeated firing. As a result they possess an easy-to-touch, natural and high-quality feel; the series offers the highest quality among clay accessories. The color of the clay in the Purion series is completely natural, and is for this reason unique.
Operating Instructions
- Place tea leaves (about 3 g) in the sphere part with the filter, and fill with boiling water to the line indicated by a leaf-shaped incision (150 ml).
- Cover the infuser with the other side of the ball with the cup and wait 60 seconds. Remove the cup and place it on the table.
- Pour the tea while holding the infuser at about 90° above the cup.
- Especially suitable for fermented and semi-fermented teas
Washing
- Before using the Joy Pot infuser, be sure to wash it carefully with boiling water
- We strongly recommend washing the two parts separately to avoid collision and accidental chipping
- The Purion clay causes the cup and infuser to heat slowly. Use the mug for only one type of tea: the mug is semi-porous and is designed to saturate with the essence of the tea, which strengthens after each use
- Once washed with warm water, let the cup air dry or gently blot it with a dry cloth.
