From the heart of the ancient forests of Mount Jingmai in southwestern Yunnan comes our Puer Shu Jingmai Tea 2022. This extraordinary tea is produced in one of China’s most fascinating regions, where tradition and nature intertwine in perfect balance. In 2023, the Jingmai tea forests were officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a tribute to their cultural and environmental importance.
A Millennial Tale of Harmony and Care
The tea forests of Jingmai cover more than 1,200 hectares, welcoming 9 villages and extraordinary biodiversity. Here, since the 10th century, the Blang and Dai peoples have guarded these lands, devoting themselves with devotion to the sustainable cultivation of tea. Treating the ancient tea trees as revered ancestors, they have created a unique ecosystem where light, shade and moisture coexist in perfect harmony, giving Jingmai teas a distinctive and unmistakable character.
A Tea of Elegance and Complexity
Jingmai Puer Shu 2022 is a tea that enchants the senses with its smooth sweetness and refined aromatic notes. The pressed leaves reveal golden hues and a fragrance that evokes the damp undergrowth typical of the best Puer Shu. But what makes this tea unique is its lingering date fragrance, which is released with every sip and persists even after the brew cools.
In the cup, the taste is full-bodied and velvety, with a shy bitter aftertaste emerging in the huigan-the “return of flavor”-offering a complex and enveloping taste experience.

How to prepare
We highly recommend infusing this tea in the traditional Chinese method (gong fu cha) to best enjoy these leaves. Following this preparation, 5 grams of leaves can be used in a gaiwan of about 150 ml to make several infusions with different tastes. After a quick rinse of the leaves in water at 100°C, an initial infusion of 20 seconds can be made, and after that, keeping the water at the same temperature, the time can be increased each time by 5 seconds from the previous infusion (25-30 …).
These leaves could be steep about 9 times.
For a classic preparation according to the Western style, we recommend 3 grams of leaves in a 200-mL cup with water at 100°C for an infusion time of 2-3 minutes.
The tea can be filtered for ease when tasting, and also the infusion times given here above are meant to be purely indicative so one can also adjust according to one’s personal taste.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
