What is Purion Clay?

Purion clay is a material created in Taiwan by skilled craftsmen. Rich in minerals, such as quartz, baked with reduced oxidation at high temperature. It has a stone-like granular structure and the tea infused in this type of material is smooth and the flavour is extraordinarily sweet and smooth.

Our Purion clay accessories are made from completely natural materials. The processing steps range from oxidation to reduction and repeated cooking. As a result, they have an easy-to-touch, natural and high-quality feel; the series offers the highest quality among clay accessories.

The clay colour of the Purion series is completely natural, which is why it is unique.

Purion Clay maintenance

Before use, steep the teapot in a bowl of hot water for one hour.
1. Care: hand wash with warm water only and rub gently without soap (Purion clay is semi-porous and is designed to saturate with the essence of tea). Remove the lid until completely dry. Do not microwave
2. Use a teapot for only one type of tea (such as oolong, red or puer). Indeed, purion clay absorbs the smell of the tea and, if you use different types of tea, it may absorb too many flavours and you may not enjoy the tasting to the full.
