Purion clay cup Lin’s Ceramics Studio 370 ml

Purion Lin’s Ceramics Studio’s Purion clay mug is made of a special type of clay that is very porous, perfect for tasting roasted Puer and Oolong teas. This cup turns out larger than those normally used during the Chinese tea ceremony; it has a capacity of 370 ml. We recommend using the Purion clay cup always with the same type of tea, as the Purion clay absorbs the aroma and flavor of the tea. This accessory was handmade in Taiwan, by a team of artisans experienced in creating high quality tea accessories.

Purion Clay maintenance

Before use, steep the cup in a bowl with hot water for one hour. Care: hand wash only with warm water and rub gently without soap (Purion clay is semi-porous and is designed to saturate with tea essence). Do not use in microwave. Use the cup for only one type of tea (such as oolong, red or puer). In fact, purion clay absorbs the smell of the tea, and if you use different types of tea, it may absorb too many flavors and you will not fully enjoy the tasting.
