Mini Jasmine Shou Mei White Tea 2022 combines the fresh taste of jasmine with the delicacy of white tea harvested in Fuding, Fujian Province. These mini Jasmine Shou Mei squares are made with pressed Shou Mei white tea and whole jasmine flowers. Because this tea does not undergo any traditional jasmine scenting process, the taste and aroma of jasmine are very delicate. This allows the base of the tea to fill out brighter in terms of flavors, while the jasmine flowers add a slight floral aroma in the aftertaste. This tea is also already conveniently divided into individual servings of about 5g-8g per piece: enjoy a carefree tea break with the perfect amount of tea, whenever you want.
Tasting – Sight and smell
Mini Jasmine Shou Mei white tea leaves are pressed into a square-shaped brick and feature a color palette ranging from various shades of green to the creamy white of jasmine flowers, which we find whole. The infusion is sweet and very aromatic: it spreads notes of honey, jasmine and yellow fruit. In the cup, the liquor is a beautiful golden yellow, with a silky body on the palate and light, without astringency or bitterness. Definitely a tea that entices you to drink cup after cup.
Tasting Notes
GONG FU CHA
The first infusion of Mini Jasmine Shou Mei white tea gives fresh, floral notes of jasmine, followed immediately by the intense sweetness of acacia honey. With the second infusion, the honey becomes even more pronounced and notes of peach and dehydrated apricot appear. With the third and subsequent infusions, a hint of beeswax appears followed by notes of vanilla. The florality and freshness of jasmine remain in persistence, characterizing this special tea with their delicacy.
WESTERN
The opening is very sweet, with notes of acacia honey followed by floral hints of jasmine, perfectly perceptible but never excessive or intrusive: balance is definitely a strong point of this Mini Jasmine Shou Mei white tea. Secondly, there are fruity hints of apricot compote and ripe summer fruits. The intense sweetness of this tea is surprising in how well it is balanced by the freshness of jasmine flowers, which cleanse the palate and linger pleasantly for a long time.

Infusion method
We strongly recommend infusing Mini Jasmine Shou Mei white tea in the traditional Chinese method (Gong Fu Cha) with a gaiwan with a capacity of about 150 ml. By following this preparation, multiple infusions can be made with 1 single piece that are useful to best capture all the flavor nuances of the tea.
Heat the water to a temperature of 90°C: conduct a short rinse of the leaves and then an initial 20-second infusion. Keeping the water at the same temperature, you can then continue to exploit the same leaves by adding more water and increasing the infusion time by 10 seconds each time (20 – 30 – 40…).
This tea has a longevity of about 6 brewings.
For a more classic preparation according to the Western style, we recommend 1 single piece in a 200-mL cup with water at 90°C for a brewing time of 3 minutes.
For a better tasting experience, we suggest that you strain the tea as soon as the brewing time is over. The infusion timings we suggest can be slightly modified to your liking to achieve a more or less intense taste.
