Stone-pressed according to tradition, these leaves ensure a flawless aging process, revealing their potential year after year. When infused, the leaves of this puer crudo release a soft sweetness and complex aromatic bouquet. Notes of wood, wildflowers, artichokes and honey intertwine in each cup, resulting in a golden liqueur with a typical astringency that promises to evolve and mellow over time.

This is more than just a tea cake, it is a journey into the mountains of Nannuo, a celebration of our tradition and the timeless beauty of puer.

A transparent vintage, an unmistakable taste

The 2021 harvest gave us a production of standard, but not ordinary quality: each infusion reveals bright, crystalline hues that tell of the unique characteristics of our terroir. Wild and ancient tree leaves convey a unique aromatic complexity, capturing the attention with an intriguing fragrance and unexpected depth.

A package that tells a story

In keeping with tradition, each cake is wrapped in our signature decorative paper, designed to celebrate the link between our land and the centuries-old tradition of Chinese terroirs. This year, the design is an homage to the masterpiece Flora Sinensis by Polish missionary Michael Boym, who, fascinated by the Musa basjoo (the Japanese banana tree native to southern China), painted a scene that embodies the power of nature. We chose this image because of its connection to the trees of our wild forests: robust, vital and authentic.

How to prepare

We highly recommend infusing this tea in the traditional Chinese method (gong fu cha) to best enjoy these leaves. Following this preparation, 5 grams of leaves can be used in a gaiwan of about 150 ml to make several infusions with different tastes. After a quick rinse of the leaves in water at 100°C, an initial infusion of 20 seconds can be made, and after that, keeping the water at the same temperature, the time can be increased each time by 5 seconds from the previous infusion (25-30 …).

These leaves could be steep about 9 times.

For a classic preparation according to the Western style, we recommend 3 grams of leaves in a 200-mL cup with water at 100°C for an infusion time of 2-3 minutes.

The tea can be filtered for ease when tasting, and also the infusion times given here above are meant to be purely indicative so one can also adjust according to one’s personal taste.
