The White Porcelain Decorated Gaiwan 160 ml is decorated entirely by hand, it is the perfect accessory for serving tea with elegance and respect for tradition
What is a Gaiwan?
Gaiwan is a vessel used for infusing tea, equipped with a lid and saucer, traditionally used for the ceremony. Method of use: remove the lid and place the tea leaves in the vessel, cover with hot water and leave to infuse. Once ready, move the lid slightly to create enough space for the liquid to flow. Grasp the container with your thumb and middle finger and place your index finger on the space in the center of the lid, then lift and pour the tea into the pitcher or directly of cups. Very often this type of accessory is used during the Chinese tea ceremony.
