This strainer is used to filter tea leaves during the tea ceremony or during the daily preparation of your cup of tea. The holder is shaped like a hand with open fingers to allow the filter to be placed on the holder when it is not in use. The enamel color of this filter is white and its surface is very smooth and fine. A thin metal mesh is inserted at the bottom of the strainer to help eliminate the residual water. This set has a nice shape and is very stable. At the same time, it can be matched with accessories of any style. The porcelain of this colander is from Dehua, the famous porcelain and ceramic origin site, and an important base for porcelain export in China, located in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. With over a millennium of history, Dehua’s porcelain is characterized by its elegant design, excellent craftsmanship, hard consistency and watery white appearance. On 30 May 2015, after two consecutive evaluation days, World Crafts Council experts unanimously approved Dehua’s assignment of the world capital of ceramics.
