The history of Ru porcelain
Of the five famous kilns of the Song dynasty, the Yu furnace in the village of Qing Lian Si, in the province of Henan, is the most renowned. The crockery was an extraordinary creation produced for the Chinese Imperial Palace. Very different from the previous porcelain of the Ding period, the pieces in Ru porcelain are characterized by a beautiful pale bluish-green color and by a depth of enamel that is almost rosy. Less than 70 pieces can be found today in the hands of a few museums, foundations and private collectors.
With elegant shapes and a translucent finish, these pieces are considered the official furnaces. With a nostalgic touch and respect for the ancients, Lin’s Ceramics Studio employs the wisdom of the ancestors to create brilliant accessories worthy of your collection.
