Mixed Marshmallow Mochi, better known in Japan as daikuku mochi, are glutinous rice cakes filled with a fluffy cream. A truly delicious preparation and one that is so prized in the Land of the Rising Sun that it is practically the national dessert as well as the one used to be eaten during the holidays and particularly on New Year’s Eve.
