Emollient Herbal Tea from Peru 100gr

Emollient Herbal Tea is one of our favorite beverages. It is perfect drunk hot, served straight from the steaming pot, and is also incredibly refreshing during hot summer days after being refrigerated for several hours. This drink has been popular among street vendors in Lima for more than a century and is loved by the population for its calming flavor and medicinal properties. Its fervent consumers believe it has a diuretic effect and is also very good for the liver and digestion in general.

Ingredients

Dried herbs including barley, flaxseed, cat’s claw (Uncaria tomentosa), flor blanca (Robinia pseudoacacia) and cola de caballo (equisetum arvense).

Infusion method

Needed:

• 1 packet of the Emollient Herbal Tea
• Sugar, honey or a sweetener of your choice
• lemon juice
• pineapple peel
• 4 liters of water
• Verbena odorosa
• Chamomile
